As an MSP, business planning for the coming year is always hard. Questions around growth planning, how to gain more recurring revenue clients, what new technologies are emerging that need to be supported, when to add staff, among many others, are rarely easy to answer.
And often, in the face of those core issues the idea of scaling a sales and marketing plan is even more challenging. If you have been fortunate to build your business on repeat customers and word of mouth referrals, the question of marketing strategy likely continues to get pushed to the background.
In our own planning exercises we often find it useful to focus on “one big thing” to rally around and get right, rather than try to take on too many discrete tasks. In the spirit of focus then, here is one big idea for your 2014 marketing strategy:
