Spring Release '14: Protect even more with physical image backup

As with our past several releases, the primary goal of the Intronis Spring Release ’14 is to help partners protect more of their customers’ data with a single platform.

Part of that meant expanding our support for virtual machines, and to address this need we released a native Hyper-V backup solution to pair with our VMware backup offering.

But in talking to our partners, we understood that a big need for them was the ability to protect the applications and data stored on physical machines.

That’s why Intronis is excited to introduce local support for image-based backups, which will help you deliver a higher level of data protection for important business data.

Fall Release ’13: Building out our VMware backup support

Last week, our Senior Manager of Product Management, Matt Kowalski, gave you an overview of the new features in our Fall Release ’13. This week, I’d like to walk through one of the most important additions to our product this release, one that should be a big help to partners using our VMware backup solution.

That feature is our added support for VMware clustered environments. Many of our partners use VMware host clusters every day, and we even use them in our own internal VMware environment. We wanted to make sure that our product supported VMs stored in this environment, enabling our partners to consolidate their VMware backup under one data storage solution.
