Now that I'm back in the office and have had a chance to recover from a busy week on the road, I wanted to take a look back at our trip to Automation Nation in Orlando, Florida. It was another memorable event!

As one of the gold sponsors, the Intronis MSP Solutions by Barracuda team got to enjoy so many different aspects of the event. We were excited to host the recharge lounge again this year. This space was set aside so attendees to could stop by and charge up various devices while relaxing, catching up on work, or learning more about the complete data protection Intronis MSP Solutions offers. The recharge lounge was outside the exhibit hall for the first time this year, and we had tons of traffic and plenty of in-depth conversations. Plus, our booth was located close to the Automate Hack-A-Thon, so we had front row seat to the fun!

Recharge Lounge.jpgBoth at the booth and in the recharge lounge, our team was well prepared to talk about our whole security and backup portfolio. Many MSPs still know us for the Intronis ECHOplatform, so we're always excited to share how they can also purchase NextGen Firewalls and multi-layered email security from our team, and everyone we talked to was excited to learn about the possibilities of an MSP-focused one-stop shop for their security and backup needs.

Jake Madson, one of our product managers spent his time at the recharge lounge showing off the beta of our new ConnectWise Automate integration. He also presented on this integration to a great group on Wednesday afternoon, and I know he was excited to connect with a number of people interested in signing up to become beta testers. Jake Madson is continually working the Automate team to make this integration as useful and helpful as it can be for Automate users today, and we're looking forward to sharing more details about it later this year.

Keynote speakers share all

The awesome keynote speakers were another big highlight of the event for me. On Tuesday, Brett Cheloff, GM of ConnectWise Automate, went over the five requirements for creating a positive energy team.  These requirements consisted of vision, mindset, ownership, adaptation, and safety. My key takeaway was that it's hard to find and keep good talent, which you can read more about in The Ideal Team Player by Patrick Lencioni.

Wednesday afternoon, Kevin Behr shared how understanding problems enables feedback, and he used the major changes that went on with Toyota and GM to help illustrate his point. Behr said, “No matter how small you are business-wise or what constraints you have, great ideas can be created and executed”.

Both speakers made it clear and that teams that work together and learn from adversity will become successful and can out beat their competitors.

Continuing the conversation

We are looking forward to continuing our conversations with ConnectWise Automate and Manage users at a variety of User Group meeting across the U.S. in the next few months. We'll also be attending various industry events and hosting our local lunches, so if you want to learn more please make sure to stop by and see us while we're on the road.
