We are delighted to share that Intronis has signed an agreement to be acquired by Barracuda Networks! The deal is expected to close in Barracuda's fiscal Q3, and everyone here is abuzz about joining forces with an industry pioneer that’s truly on the cutting edge of technology.
What’s in it for our partners? As part of Barracuda, Intronis will have access to a broader portfolio of solutions to help our channel partners grow their businesses and meet their customers’ needs. We will also gain valuable technical talent that will spark greater innovation, as well as more resources to grow our enablement tools and partner program.
We know that our success is closely tied to our channel partners’ success, and that is why this opportunity with Barracuda is so significant for everyone involved. Barracuda shares our focus on the channel and the belief that partner success is what matters most.
When I joined Intronis nearly three years ago, I could see that the amazingly talented team we had in place and the products we had coming down the pipeline would create a massive transformation. In short order, we developed a true platform that our channel partners could use to simplify their business operations and create growth. Packaging the product suite into the Intronis ECHOplatform, debuting our industry-leading fixed-price-per-SMB plans, and creating our comprehensive partner-enablement toolkit have empowered our channel partners to meet and exceed their growth initiatives.
As such, I want to take a moment to acknowledge and thank the incredible Intronis team. It’s fantastic to see our dedication and hard work pay off. We evolved from a pure file-and-folder cloud backup provider to a leader in data protection in less than 36 months. It is rare to have the opportunity to work with such talented people, and I had to remind myself more than once to get out of their way and let them innovate!
I would also like to thank our partners for their ongoing support, feedback, and partnership, which has made the first leg of our journey such a rewarding experience.
The Road Ahead
I understand that many of you will have questions, and we will, of course, communicate more details on integrations and product roadmaps in the coming weeks after the transaction officially closes. Our brand will remain intact as part of the dedicated MSP business within Barracuda. We are excited to embark on the next phase in our journey, and we will stay true to our mission of helping channel partners be as successful as possible by ensuring no business fails due to data loss.
