An Intronis Festivus miracle

‘Twas the dawning of Festivus, and all through the office

Not an employee was stirring, not even a sales rep.

The Festivus pole was displayed in the corner with care;

Unadorned and low-maintenance, there was no tinsel in sight.

As team members arrived to start the day,

Greetings of “Happy Festivus” soon filled the air.

We took to Twitter to invite everyone to join us

In the traditional airing of grievances, both big and small.

A weary MSP sat down to his keyboard to make his list and vent;

He had just finished writing his final complaint,

When somewhere outside there arose such a clatter,

He raced to the window to see what was the matter.

He saw twelve pointy ears and twelve beady black eyes,

The dreaded data loss gremlins, alas, had arrived.

Whoopsie_Daisy-1They shrieked and they shouted and called each other by name:

“Now, Mayhem! Now, Klepto! Now, Mal!

On Whoopsie Daisy! On Scratch and on Scorch!”

When he turned back to his computer, the gremlins had struck,

His list of grievances had just disappeared!

It would take a true Festivus miracle to recover all his hard work.

Luckily, just in time for the Festivus feats of strength,
