Today we're launching our Winter Release ’15, and the entire Intronis team is juiced. Why? Quite simply because this release delivers the strongest version of the Intronis ECHOplatform to date. From the very outset, we’ve designed this release to help you broaden your client base, expand services for existing clients, and streamline your operations. The feedback from our beta test partners has been extremely positive.
We'll share more news on the Intronis Winter Release ’15 over the days and weeks to come, but in the meantime, we invite you to watch three brief video previews introducing features added in the new release, courtesy of John Farrell of our Product Management team.
Faster, easier restores
Among the enhancements we’re proud to include in this release is a faster, simpler Object-Level Restore capability. In the interest of keeping business operations humming, we’ve retooled this feature so users can initiate the process within the Intronis portal. Restoring individual files or folders from local image backups is nearly as easy as opening up a Windows browser because users no longer need to mount image backups to agent hosts to connect to them.
Rapid Recovery for Physical Imaging
Another key enhancement we’ve engineered into the Winter Release ’15 is Imaging Rapid Recovery. This feature leverages our Physical Imaging backup to enable our service provider partners and their clients to perform system-level restores within minutes.
Rapid Recovery for Hyper-V
The third preview spotlights the new Hyper-V Rapid Recovery feature. This feature applies the design attributes of our Imaging Rapid Recovery with the Hyper-V native backup technology our partners have been using for some time now. This feature brings our Hyper-V backup and recovery capabilities to parity with those we support for VMware.
In this era of non-stop, 24/7 business operations, maintaining application uptime is indispensable for businesses of all sizes, so we’re eager to help our partners offer SMBs new levels of business continuity with these new features.
