We know compliance is important to our partners. You support clients in a variety of industries, each of which may be required to adhere to a unique compliance standard. And failure to comply could result in serious consequences, including significant fines.
That’s why Intronis takes compliance seriously, and why we strive to be transparent in explaining how our software helps you meet regulations. We’ve published a new data sheet that outlines the specific regulations that the Intronis ECHOplatform meets.
A few of the mandates for Intronis compliance covered include:
HIPAA potentially receives the most press out of all the major regulations, and for good reason. This sweeping mandate requires strict patient record privacy and security by healthcare providers and the business associates who support them. Those who fail to adhere to HIPAA can suffer from huge fines climbing into the millions of dollars for major violations.
Organizations in the financial services industry are beholden to the regulations defined by FINRA, which seeks to protect the financial privacy of major stakeholders and also overall market integrity.
- PCI DSS
The Payment Card Industry (PCI) is a consortium of major credit card companies that issue a set of Data Security Standards (DSS) to define how cardholder data is stored and protected. As an IT provider, it’s important for you to know how you handle your SMB’s financial data, particularly if they process credit cards.
SSAE-16 isn’t a regulation, but actually a set of security standards that help organizations evaluate how well they protect data and their business. Intronis submits to regular independent audits to ensure we follow best practices by SSAE-16, and by meeting these standards, we are able to satisfy the security standards required by major regulators.
You can also download our Security and Reliability data sheet, which includes full details on our approach to encryption, data center security, and data reliability.
