Last week, we shared the exciting news that Intronis has signed an agreement to be acquired by Barracuda Networks. And the response we’ve gotten since then has been overwhelmingly positive, both from the IT channel press and from our MSP partners.
Channele2e’s Joe Panettieri was one of the first to break the news Tuesday afternoon, and he quickly followed up with an insightful article comparing the deal to Solar Winds purchase of N-able.
ChannelE2E says: To succeed, Barracuda must run Intronis M&A like SolarWinds runs N-able http://t.co/wbDI55i5nW— ChannelE2E (@ChannelE2E) September 29, 2015
For CRN’s coverage of the news, the channel publication interviewed Jeffery Peters, director of managed services at Innovative Integration, a solution provider and channel partner to both Barracuda and Intronis, to gauge partner reaction.
"I'm not sure what the future will bring," Peters told CRN. "But I can say, Intronis is one of the best-kept cloud backup secrets. And Barracuda has the ability to execute. So I see a bright future for both of them."
We also heard from a number of partners directly, such as Charles Love of Big Sur Technologies who congratulated us on Twitter.
Charles Weaver of the MSPAlliance offered a broader view of what this news could mean for the channel, and a number of local publications, such as Boston Business Journal, BetaBoston, New England Tech Wire, and VentureFizz all picked up on the news as well, which was great to see.
We’ve compiled a full list of all the coverage on our website. Check it out to see how other voices in the channel are weighing in on the announcement.
